Quick, friendly service and surprisingly good food!

Great food, great people!

Foods okay. Beers are cold. Atmosphere is great. We always stop for lunch.

My wife had the crab soup and she didn't like it at all. The beers were close to room temperature. They need to change the refrigeration or change the outside sign the reads "cold beer". We really didn't look at the bill but for 4 people it was 160 bucks and we only had 2 beers and and 2 sodas, plus food and one plate was just a hamburger. Thats $40 per person..WOW. I should have checked the bill, lesson learned. Other than that they were very friendly. 2 Stars and thats because they were friendly.

this place was great. A real hidden gem Swamp Combo was delicious.and probably some of the best Key lime pie ive had!

Our server, Lisa, was a hoot! The food is great. The only downfall for me was that there wasn't air conditioning. There are fans and it wasntuncomfortable.

The food was overpriced and somewhat decent. Don’t go here if you care about the environment at all. They only have plastic silverware, styrofoam cups for coffee, bottled drinks, and provide unnecessary plastic straws. They don’t recycle so all this unnecessary waste is headed to a landfill and possibly the ocean.

Excellent lunch spot we had a couple of corona lights. I enjoyed the she crab soup which is a vegetable broth soup and the fried green tomatoes Mike had the soft shell crab Sautéed

Very decent soft shell crab sandwich and extremely warm and helpful staff. It’d be better if they’d cut down on all the disposable plastic dishes...

With a warm and strong personality Joanie's staff takes care of their guests in the best way. For those who want a an experience beyond the ordinary recommend a visit. I picked Gator Salad which both tasted fantastic and was measuring. Although most American restaurants take good care of their guests, the memory of Joanie's Blue Crab Cafe forever remain in my memory!

Awesome atmosphere, very welcoming. Great crab cake sandwich; husband liked the gator nuggets, and portions are plenty! Must visit place in the Everglades.

Great little restaurant near Everglades Park. Staff was friendly and wonderful. The food is gives a homemade feel and was delicious.

We were treated rudely today when the waitress told us the restaurant was closing . . .an hour and six minutes BEFORE the posted closing time.

Live in Ocala and decided to do a weekend trip exploring rural FL. Came to this cute like middle of nowhere spot and drank with the locals. Hands down one of the best experiences ive had. The owner was friendly as heck. Super load, but super duper sweet. I loved it. Good ole backwoods humble vibe. You HAVE to stop in!

I like coming here with friends here whenever I'm in the area visiting friends. I love the fried green tomatoes mmm, just like Mom's. I like the atmosphere and being able to sit outside to eat. All the food is good that I've tried, the prices are in mid range and well worth it, no shortage of drinks. Nice people working there is a plus too. I have no problem with recommending Joanie's to anyone looking for a good place to eat and enjoy themselves with friends here.

This place is awesome. Unique atmosphere. A must stop if in the area. Food was good but service and atmosphere were my highlight.

Oh my God!! What a place!! Frog legs, gator bites, crab cake and cold beer. Sight-seeing. Gators all the way into Naples... The ladies are sooo sassy & classy!!! 👌

Cool place They have a nice selection of cold beer and a classic Florida menu. I was so ready for this place to be great. The breading for the meat had little flavor and seemed grainy. The crab cake was very good.

What a place! You would probably never stop by if you didn't know it but it's worth the time. It's a bit goofy. The owner is a riot. Expect a very energetic greeting. The food is great. Check out the art work in the bathrooms. (NSFW or kids..)

If you pass by this place....then you have missed a True Gem of the Everglades. Awesome food, Cold drinks & staff that are second to none!!

Finest spot to get some food when in a rush. Their customer service is fast, prices are affordable, awesome mood. I highly recommend this spot.

Well worth a ride out to nowhere for their swamp platter! I don't even much care for gator, unless I get it here! This is as old Florida as you get with a warning to keep your eyes down if the occasional picture offends you. Believe me, the food is worth it! There are several porches, the back looks on a little canal, worth sitting to see the birds.

Food was good. Nice crab cakes and grouper. Both baskets or salads. Also have burgers and sandwiches . Nice outdoor and screened porch. An occasional gator will swim by the back porch.

The fried soft crab sandwich was very good and the waitress was very nice. However this place is very expensive and the gentleman at the counter made offensive comments.
